Seven Days to AidEx: What We Will Talk About at Stand B6/a

One week from today, AidEx Geneva 2026 opens at Palexpo. We will be there at stand B6/a in Hall 4, and we have been thinking about what conversations are actually worth having in a room of 3,400 humanitarian and development professionals.

The event theme is Beyond Delivering "More with Less" — Leveraging Innovation, Partnerships and New Financing Models to Transform Humanitarian Delivery. That is an unusually precise framing. "More with less" is how the sector has described its operating reality for more than a decade. The theme is asking what comes next.

We think that is the right question, and we want to be part of answering it practically rather than theoretically.

The operational problem underneath the slogan

The "more with less" framing has always carried a slight untruth. Facilities are delivering more because the demand is genuinely larger (more partner institutions, more countries, more concurrent programmes), not because they have become more efficient. The funding structure has not scaled with that demand.

The operational consequence is fragmentation. Requests arrive through multiple channels. Expert rosters are rebuilt from scratch each cycle because the last one was not structured enough to reuse. Reporting is assembled by hand at the end of a period because the data was not captured in a way that supports automatic aggregation. Approval chains are undocumented because the platform the team uses was built for generic project tracking, not for TA programme governance.

The roots are not in technology, but every symptom shows up in data. Fragmented operations are usually fragmented records. And fragmented records cannot produce the traceable, auditable, donor-ready accountability that "more with less" actually demands.

What we want to talk about at stand B6/a

We want a conversation, not a product demonstration, with people who run facilities, implement programmes, manage expert rosters, report to donors, or are trying to figure out how to make all of those things work better together.

The topics we are happy to go into detail on:

  • TA request management: what it means to capture a request as a structured record from the moment of submission, with an approval trail, a linked action plan and a closed-loop connection to delivery
  • Expert mobilisation: competitive calls for expertise, a reusable structured roster, documented shortlisting and assignment that flows from selection without re-keying data across systems
  • Results-based reporting: indicators connected to live operational data, so the end-of-period report is generated from what was recorded as it happened rather than reconstructed
  • European hosting and GDPR: what it means in practice for a platform that handles expert profiles, institutional data and public funds, and why the hosting question is not a detail
  • The comparison question: where ZeePMT sits relative to generic project management tools and sector M&E platforms, and what neither of those covers well

We will have people at the stand who have worked on TA operations directly. The conversations can be concrete.

The AidEx audience is broader than EU TA

One thing worth acknowledging: AidEx brings together a much wider community than the EU Technical Assistance Facility space. UN agencies, international NGOs, Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, donors, and development finance institutions all face versions of the same operational challenges: coordinating expertise, managing programmes across multiple partner institutions, producing accountable records for funders.

Not all of those organisations run what would formally be called a TA Facility. But many of them are trying to solve the same operational problems. We are interested in those conversations too.

The bottom line

"Beyond more with less" means something specific in operations: you cannot coordinate a complex programme through email threads and shared spreadsheets and then ask the system to produce accountable reporting at the end. The data has to be captured in a way that makes accountability structurally available rather than assembled under pressure when it is needed.

That is what we built ZeePMT to do. We look forward to talking through how it works in practice with people who are managing the real version of those problems.
